Wild One Coffee Co

Wild One Coffee Co

BRIEF

Michele came to me during the development phases of her opening up a drive thru coffee stand. The most important part to Michele when creating her brand was to make sure her brand didn't convey "Wilderness" Alaska. She knew with the name "Wild One" it can seem like just another nature loving brand, but she really wanted it to embody the spirit of doing wild things—being the weird one in the group, make a fool of yourself, standing up and doing karaoke and being embarrassed. She wanted the brand to feel welcoming, loving, energetic and free.

SOLUTIONS

Since her building is pink with a black roof, I wanted to lean into that as much as possible throughout her branding to really build up the color association, so when people see a pink cup they immediately think: Wild One. My main challenge with creating this brand was finding the balance between a funky, groovy logo that didn't feel too ornate and run the risk of feeling dated. I made sure when customizing the font in the logo to make it as chunky and squishy as possible to still be legible, but give it some character outside of the traditional 70s groovy font. Overall, we landed on a brand that felt energetic, bubbly, and free — perfect for letting out your inner wild one :)
